How Does BISL Work?

BISL is dedicated to promoting the profile, awareness and image of the sport, leisure and hospitality sector to its target decision maker and people of influence. BISL works with and through its members and communicates through the following channels:

Annually - "The Active Annual" - BISL's Handbook
Annual Conference - this year, on 12 November 2009 at Lord's Cricket Ground
Quarterly Newsletter - distributed to Members, MPs and partner organisations
Fortnightly Circular - distributed to all members by post or e-mail
Daily updates of press releases, snapshot information, member updates at www.bisl.org

Business In Sport and Leisure is a company limited by guarantee. John Brackenbury CBE is Life President of BISL. BISL employs a part-time Chairman, David Teasdale, a Senior Executive, Andy Sutch, a Marketing Executive, Steve McKenna, Francesca Chin-Lewis, Political Advisor to the All Party Parliamentary Leisure Group and Sports Caucus and a full time Membership Services Manager, Amanda Fry.

BISL's strategic aims and objectives are set by a Board of Directors (in consultation with members); the Board comprises leading figures in the sport and leisure sector, elected by members at the AGM.
