Reflecting the importance of tourism to sport and leisure businesses in the UK, BISL has launched a dedicated Tourism Working Group, under the Chairmanship of former senior DCMS civil servant, Brian Leonard CBE.

- The Comprehensive Spending Review in October 2007 saw the Budget for VisitBritain cut by 18% for the next three years, with Government arguing that £350m is spent on tourism marketing by the regions.
- Partners for England Forum
- P4E is a forum for the key players in England’s Tourism industry from both public and private sectors. It is formally supported by the Tourism Alliance and Local Government Association and has already issued (with the LGA) the Placemaking – a Charter for destination management and created the English Tourism Intelligence Partnership.
